JOAN TEASDALE PHOTOGRAPHER : BIO

Born in Vancouver, Canada, but raised in New York State, Joan Teasdale spent her years after graduating from the University of Colorado experiencing all types of adventure sports. Joan learned her love of the great outdoors along with her photographic style with a camera in hand while hiking, skiing, biking, sailing, among many other extreme outdoor activities.

Since then Joan has been capturing light, energy & optimism in her lifestyle approach to photography for over 20 years. Her dynamic & fun-filled style of shooting has been welcomed by such advertising and fashion clients as Neiman Marcus, Land’s End, R.E.I., Lee Jeans, Patagonia, San Mar & Nordstrom’s. Joan travels extensively shooting work in locations such as Canada, Greece, Austria, Malaysia, and all over the US.

Joan is also widely recognized for her playful and captivating children’s photography, shooting prestigious advertising campaigns for companies like American Girl, Hasbro Toys, Playskool, & Girl Scouts of the USA.

Now living in the Pacific Northwest raising her 2 teenage daughters, she uses her spare time to enjoy the outdoor life up a mountain, or out on the ocean.
